Entities are shape=record nodes whose label uses | and { } to pack fields into compartments. Relationships are edges annotated with taillabel=1 and headlabel=N to show 1-to-many cardinality, and dir=both draws arrowheads on both ends. rankdir="LR" flips the layout to left-to-right so the ERD reads like a classic schema diagram.
