Speak Out Loud Interview Practice

Intro
Aim for about 1:30

Tell me about yourself.

On-device only

Read the question, then answer out loud.

Press record or hit Space. A 3-second countdown gives you time to breathe.

Private by design. Your recordings never leave this device.

No uploads, no servers, no account. Audio and video are recorded and played back entirely in your browser, and they disappear when you leave the page. Download any take you want to keep.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Get a question

A random interview question appears. Filter by intro, behavioral, technical, or system design.

  2. Step 2

    Answer out loud

Choose audio or video, press record, and answer as if the interviewer were in front of you.

  3. Step 3

    Play it back

Listen to or watch yourself, run through the self-review checklist, and record another take.

What to listen for on playback

  • Lead with the answer. Interviewers should know where you are going within the first sentence or two.
  • Filler words. A few are natural. A steady stream of “um”, “like”, and “you know” sounds unprepared.
  • Pace. Nerves make most people speak faster than they think. Short pauses sound confident.
  • Specifics. Numbers, names of systems, and concrete decisions are more convincing than general claims.
  • A clean ending. Finish with the result or takeaway instead of trailing off with “so… yeah.”
